In 1990’s Tehran’s municipality decided to provide a new generation of urbanism & architecture in the city, thus they performed a series of architectural competition to construct new buildings with brand new ideas.

One of these important competitions in 1993 was a multifunctional complex in 3rd district of Tehran which had more than 150 entries. the design team who won the first prize in that competition established dc[4s] company in 1997 & ARAD co. in 2003.

Preliminary design in this project is based on fluidity of spaces around cubic objects which is a complex of functions between three structural walls, and the double layered envelop in two colors (black & white) covers the internal spaces.
